At the foot of Mount Fuji lies the forest of Aokigahara, sadly famous for the hundreds of people who commit suicide here. The woods are full of legends and horror stories about ghosts who call the living to stay with them in the eternal gloom of "the sea of trees".

Set in a direct 1930's extension of Bram Stoker's universe, and steeped up to its eyeballs in the pulp tradition, Silver introduces James Finnigan, a witty but (figuratively) soulless con man, who sets out to separate the living-dead from their silver. Personality conflicts, emotional entanglements and character comedy abound, as Finnigan assembles the crew of talented but broken misfits needed to pull off the heist of the last ten centuries. But whether or not he survives his walk through the garden of the truly soulless, one thing is sure--in the process, Finn will gain a new perspective of what it is to be truly alive.

Gary Scott Beatty takes us to the cool age of Jazz and E. Mayen Briem and Emerson Dimaya take us further back for a horror tale during the war years. Ben Sherrill and Rowel Roque show us a futuristic big game hunting trip and for the artist sketchbook feature, Mark Bloodworth from Clive Barker's Hellraiser, Midnight Mortuary, and Deadworld shows off his art.

Not only to we get to work with some of our favorite creators on this project, but nothing these days has the mixed-media look of THE AMAZING WORLD OF GUMBALL, and we are the lucky ones who get to bring it to comics!
