THE TRILOGY

The Shroud, a story in three volumes, takes place over several centuries, in several countries, in very different environments. First in France, in the countryside of Troyes in the fourteenth century; then in Italy, in Turin, in the nineteenth century, in the big bourgeoisie; finally in Spain, in the Sierra Nevada desert in the twenty-first century.

The three main characters traverse time and space within the same story.
The story of Lucie, Thomas and Henri is that of a passionate love whose shroud says "Turin" is both the issue and the emblem. The rivalry of the two men for the conquest of the young woman plays in intimacy what is played in public for the conquest of the shroud.

But what is the shroud? An authentic relic of the Passion of Jesus or a skillful medieval forge painted with the stamp?

SUMMARY: Champagne, February 1357. Henri, bishop of Troyes, rides to the lazaretto of Lirey, to try to convince his cousin Lucie, whom he is in love, to give up his religious vows.
In the chapel where they are gathered, the monks make this bitter observation: the crates are empty, and the work of the abbey, which must accommodate a piece of the True Cross, will soon be stopped, for lack of means... "We made the oath to build an abbey that will host the relic, and we will be faithful to our word, whatever it costs, " exclaimed Thomas, the prior of the community.
The springs of tragedy, both in love and religious, are now in motion ..

SUMMARY: Turin, May 1898. Lucia, the only daughter of Baron Tomaso Pastore of Urbino, gives herself for the first time to Enrico Spitiero, a young lawyer and socialist deputy. The baron, leader of the monarchist party is a fervent Catholic, while the lover of Lucia, Enrico, is a notorious atheist. While in the street protesters shout "Down with the monarchy", Secondo Pia photographs the "shroud" in the San Giovanni Baptista Cathedral. For the Baron d'Urbino, it is the face of Christ that is revealed. Immediately, in the Chamber of Deputies, Enrico denounces a sleight of monarchists to "sit the throne of the House of Savoy." The spirits are warming up, Tomaso and Enrico are almost coming to blows. In the audience, Lucia attends helplessly the quarrel between her father and her lover...

The Days That Disappear

SUMMARY: A chase against lost time...
What would you do if you suddenly realized that you live only one day out of two? This is what happens to Lubin Marshal, a young man in his twenties who, without any memory, wakes up every morning when a whole day has passed. He discovers that during these absences, another personality takes possession of his body. Another himself with a character very different from his own, leading a life that has nothing to do. To organize this physical and temporal cohabitation, Lubin sets out to communicate with his "other", by interposed camera. But gradually, the alter ego takes over and has the body of Lubin longer and longer, the latter gradually evaporating in time... Who knows how many days he has to live before disappearing totally?
Beyond a whimsical narrative, These Days That Go Away , graphic novel in color of 200 pages with a very marked personality, raises strong questions about the identity, the duality of the being and the relationship between the body and the spirit. All along, the reader wonders if Lubin really disappears or if he has schizophrenia. Obviously, the young and talented Timothé Le Boucher, who signs here his third book, is careful not to answer it... And if this character who chases another was simply the adult man who, little by little, hunts the child who is in him?
