Gaijin 1. The Stars Above Tokyo / Date of publication: 06/02/2008
SUMMARY: Alex Otoishi, half-breed of Japanese father and American mother, is a private investigator. But of a kind a little particular since it works only on behalf of the four families of yakuza who share the Japanese capital, and which he has earned respect. Flanked by his sidekick Sanzo, Alex is contacted to protect the key witness of the largest investigation against one of these families.

SUMMARY: Tokyo is a prey to the madness of a pyromaniac: the Phoenix (Hi-no-tori). This "avenger" seems to target the jageya, yakuza specialized in the search for building land. The Higarashi clan did not hesitate to accuse the Shiratori clan of being the cause of these attacks, a new war is about to burst between the four big families. A war that only one man can prevent: Alex Otoishi, the Gaijin.
