The only eligible, living descendant of Jesus Christ, seventeen-year-old Joshua Black has inherited Heaven's throne and all of the burdens that come with it. After a violent encounter with his abusive father the night before, Joshua, whose family had been devastated by a tragic accident years earlier, wakes to find that God has undone the terrible event that ruined their lives. Joshua quickly learns that it wasn't an abstract God who rectified the situation, but that he, himself, is responsible for all of the changes happening around him. He also discovers that he has been burdened with an immense amount of power and responsibility.
